Abstract

Recent developments within electron microscopy technologies have been producing significant advances in spatial and temporal resolution, precision, contrast, sensitivity and reconstruction of large datasets. Especially, improvements in optic systems, detectors and associated computing hardware and methods enables today the acquisition of high quality quantitative 2D maps of structure and properties of matters in various nanomaterials down to the atomic scale. The session is open to recent emerging contribution in the electron microscopy capability for the quantitative imaging techniques including SEM, TEM, STEM, differential phase contrast and holography. The mathematical and computational analytical methods and data processing will be also considered.
